A compact Scheimpflug lidar imaging instrument for industrial diagnostics of flames

Abstract Scheimpflug lidar is a compact alternative to traditional setups. With it possible make continuous range-resolved measurements. In this study we investigate the feasibility of instrument for remote sensing in pool flames, which are characterized by strong particle scattering, large temperature gradients, and substantial fluctuations distribution due turbulence. An extinction coefficient can be extracted using information about transmitted laser power spatial extent flame. The manifested intensity ‘echo’ from hard-target termination beam located behind flame, while flame along provided scattering signal. Measurements were performed heptane diesel respectively.
